Hello

John M. Hallman

Graphic Designer

My Story

My humble beginnings as an artist, began way back in middle school in the back of the classroom. A good friend and I would always draw, make comics, and have a great time doodling in our notebooks. It was here that I really discovered my love for art, and more specifically sketching things, which is probably where my love for making logos comes from. Thought my time in high school is really where I continued and enhanced my art skills. However, I decided to go a different direction from art, when I began college at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. I began my college career with the same desire that I feel many people do, learn, earn a degree, and make so much money that I can finally buy my dream car. After about a year though, I changed my major after realizing that sleepless nights doing math and coding in electrical engineering was not my calling. For the sake of my own sanity, I decided to go back to my creative roots, while still pursuing something meaningful, ultimately finding my path in graphic design.

Throughout my time in school, I rediscovered my passion for art, creativity, and the satisfaction of making things, which led me to fully embrace the field. I was drawn to graphic design for its unique balance of practical problem-solving and visual creativity, and I especially enjoy designing logos and creating advertisements like billboards and posters. Guided by my core values—professionalism, attention to detail, openness to creative feedback, and a strong focus on listening to and understanding both my client and their target audience—I created a style that felt unique for it's simple vector based designs, while have an effective, and memorable feel. I have remained committed to growing as a designer, and maintaining a reliable, timely, and professional approach to my work.
